Frequently asked questions
Is there an age limit for orthodontic treatment?
No. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, orthodontics can be done at any age. For children, a first check-up at around age 7 is recommended.
Clear aligners or braces?
Clear aligners offer invisibility and comfort and are ideal for mild to moderate cases. For serious bite problems, fixed brackets give stronger results. The right choice is decided at your consultation.
Do braces hurt?
For the first 2–3 days after fitting, and after each adjustment, you feel mild pressure; this is normal and passes quickly.
Do the teeth go back once treatment is finished?
They can if a retainer or fixed wire is not used. That is why the retention period after treatment is part of the treatment.
